A graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a diploma in paralegal studies from NYU, Peter Heimbach has worked at some of the world’s most respected law firms and multi-national corporations. With a long-term background in technology and technology transfer, his career focus has been in trade practices and regulatory law, with an emphasis in contracting for transactions in the consumer products and pharmaceutical industries. At NYU since 2018, Heimbach’s work in Technology Opportunities & Ventures is focused in technology and material transfer and licensing for NYU’s Grossman School of Medicine, and working with industry-leading companies to negotiate complex sponsored research agreements. What he enjoys most about what he does is working with globally recognized innovators and the overall impact of technology transfer. In the health sector, for example, Heimbach appreciates that his efforts advancing AI in healthcare impact disease diagnosis and help to improve life expectancy.
