Barbara Lau is a Senior Contracts Specialist in Technology Opportunities & Ventures. Barbara has over 10 years of contracts experience with predominance in academic research contracting as well as experience with industry partners.  Barbara joined NYU in 2021 and in her role, she manages and negotiates a number of agreements such as sponsored research agreements, material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreement, and other agreements with federal, non-federal, industry, and academic collaborators. Barbara represents NYU and its researchers with advancing in their research with all of the contractual needs of each project to ensure the best possible outcomes. Prior to joining NYU, she did contracts management for an advertising agency, a pharmaceutical company, and another academic research institution.
