About HealthVenture Exchange:

Health Venture Exchange events are collaborative meetups designed to foster networking and ideate on challenges faced by NYU’s innovative startups that are working to bring solutions to market that solve unmet healthcare needs and improve patient outcomes.

Each event will feature a select startup that will showcase its innovation and share its challenges. Attendees will have the opportunity to brainstorm solutions to these challenges. This is a unique opportunity to engage with NYU startups and contribute to the advancement of healthcare technology.

Featured NYU Startup: Cara Systems

Co-founded by Prithvinath Reddy Garigapuram (Tandon, ’23) and Srushti Katore (Tandon, ’23), Cara Systems has positioned itself as the AI Copilot for Neuro Specialists.

An estimated 6.7 million people in the United States live with brain aneurysms and aneurysm ruptures carry an approx. 50% 30 day mortality rate. Clinical risk assessment conventionally relies on invasive procedures, which can be burdensome and often unnecessary due to diagnostic uncertainty. Cara Systems solves for this with their non invasive tool that will allow physicians to quickly assess the risk of intracranial aneurysms to aid in diagnosis and treatment.Their first GTM product is AneuView™, an AI-assisted diagnostic and decision support SaaS platform for personalized triage and care management of complex neurovascular anomalies.

The team was awarded 100k founders fellowship, was a semifinalist in Stern Berkley Center for Entrepreneurs Challenge and completed the NSF I-Corps and NYU Tech Venture Accelerator ($100k). They are now actively seeking investors for their seed round.
