In this monthly Industry Insights on Research and Innovation Seminar (IIRIS) series, presented by Technology Opportunities & Ventures (TOV), experts from innovative startups will join us to discuss how their companies are using cutting-edge science to develop the next generation of therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices, and more. They will also share insights into industry trends and career opportunities, and answer questions from attendees. The events are free and open to the NYU community and a boxed lunch is provided.

February's guest speaker is Tarek Ali Zaki, co-founder & CEO of OncoPrecision, a platform therapeutics company leveraging patient-derived single-cell high-throughput biology + AI/ML to develop a pipeline of therapeutic antibodies (ADCs and BsAbs) to address areas of unmet need in oncology. The platform’s clinically-validated predictive power promotes a high PoS across the discovery spectrum by generating compelling translational human data before entering the clinic. The company was spun out of Dr. Gastón Soria’s Synthetic Lethality in Cancer Lab with a successful track record of Target ID and Drug Discovery collaborations with Pharma (GSK and Novartis).
